In India, the opportunities in the field of creative art and culture have witness multifold increase. Today, an art student seeks excellence in creative vision as well as perfection in the skills. TO provide better access to its learners , the department has introduced M.A. The course will lead to quality research and valuable documentations of both traditional and contemporary art of India and the world and will prepare its learner as professional artists. A society cannot be visualized without its art and culture; it is the identity of a nation and its people. To contribute in the growth of the art and culture of country is to contribute in the growth of a nation. An artist contributes by playing as a reformer, a savior, and a documenter. The students of a Department are already making their presence felt in the field of art at state and national levels through active participation in workshops, group and solo shows etc.

Eligibility Criteria:–

The candidate should be graduate in any discipline with 50% marks. Admission will be purely on merit basis.

Jobs Prospects: Freelancing as an independent artist. Art-designer in electronic media, print media , animation and computer aided designing, illustration, graphics etc. Art director in TV and Cinema, Art-consultant in advertising, photography, photojournalism, Teaching etc.

ਬੀ.ਏ.ਸਮੈਸਟਰ-ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਫਾਰਮ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਜੁੱਟ, ਦਾਖ਼ਲੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਕਾਊਂਸਲਿੰਗ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਭਰਨਗੇ । ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਅੰਗਰੇਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਦੇ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਹੇਠ ਲਿਖੇ ਗਰੁੱਪਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹਰ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਚੁਣਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਕੋਈ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਚੁਣੇਗਾ :-

ਬੀ.ਏ ਸਮੈਸਟਰ –ਪਹਿਲਾ (ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਸਿਸਟਮ): ਅਜਿਹਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਕੂਲ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਬੋਰਡ ਤੋਂ +2 ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਮਾਨਤਾ –ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ਪਾਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ , ਬੀ.ਏ. ਸਮੈਸਟਰ –ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦਾਖ਼ਲਾ ਲੈਣ ਯੋਗ ਹੈ ।

ਬੀ.ਏ ਸਮੈਸਟਰ –ਦੂਜਾ (ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਸਿਸਟਮ): ਜਿਸ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਨੇ ਬੀ.ਏ. ਭਾਗ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਲੀ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੁੱਲ ਪੇਪਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਘੱਟੋ ਘੱਟ 50% ਪੇਪਰ ਪਾਸ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਣ ।

ਬੀ.ਏ.ਭਾਗ –ਤੀਜਾ(ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਸਿਸਟਮ): ਜਿਸ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਨੇ ਬੀ.ਏ. ਭਾਗ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਗ ਦੂਜਾ ਦੀ ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਲੀ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੁੱਲ ਪੇਪਰਾਂ (4 ਸਮੈਸਟਰਾਂ ) ਦੇ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ 50%ਪੇਪਰ ਪਾਸ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਣ ।

ਨੋਟ :ਮੈਥੇਮੈਟਿਕਸ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਦਾ +2 ਵਿੱਚ ਗਣਿਤ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਪਾਸ ਹੋਣਾ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਹੈ ।
