An educational cum recreational two-day tour to Rohanda was organised by the Department of Zoology, Mata Gujri College, on 27th–28th February 2026. A total of 23 students from Zoology and Agriculture participated enthusiastically. The visit offered valuable exposure to the Himalayan region’s natural beauty, high-altitude ecosystems, and rural agricultural practices. Students observed altitudinal biodiversity and variations in flora and fauna with increasing elevation. Director Principal Dr. Kashmir Singh emphasized that such tours contribute significantly to students’ academic growth and personality development. Head of the Department, Pardeep Kaur Sandhu, highlighted that the tour provided first-hand experience of natural habitats and river ecosystems while fostering leadership and teamwork skills. Accompanied by faculty members, students also enjoyed trekking, off-roading, and exploring snow-covered landscapes, making the tour both educational and memorable.
