The Post-Graduate Department of Punjabi and Punjabi Sahit Sabha of Mata Gujri College organised an inter-departmental neat and accurate writing competition and a poetry recitation contest to mark International Mother Language Day. As many as 40 students participated enthusiastically in the writing competition, while 41 students took part in the poetry recitation event.

On this occasion, Dr. Harpreet Kaur from the Punjabi Department of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University addressed the students. She highlighted the importance of the mother tongue, stating that it is an integral part of our cultural identity and connects us with our historical heritage and traditions. The event successfully promoted linguistic pride and cultural awareness among students.
