Department of Geography and the Department of Agriculture Organized Anti- Ragging Campain

The Department of Geography and the Department of Agriculture, Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib, jointly organised an Online Quiz Competition on Anti-Ragging Awareness on Friday. The event aimed at sensitising students about the importance of the Anti-Ragging Campaign and fostering a safe and inclusive campus environment. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from 105 students across various departments.  The quiz consisted of questions exclusively focused on anti-ragging awareness and prevention.

On the occasion, Director-Principal Dr. Kashmir Singh emphasised that “ragging has no place in a healthy educational environment, and awareness is the first step in prevention.” He added that the college was proud to see such overwhelming participation in the campaign.

Prof. Anupreet Singh Tiwana, Head of the Department of Geography, highlighted the critical role of anti-ragging initiatives in shaping positive campus culture. Dr. Santosh Kumar further stressed the need to collectively work towards fostering “a culture of respect, inclusion, and safety.” The event also saw the active involvement of faculty members including Dr. Pinkoo Singh, Dr. Rohit Sharma, Prof. Lovepreet Singh, and others, making it a collaborative effort between students. The competition not only spread awareness but also reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to ensuring a ragging-free, safe, and supportive learning environment.
